New Zealand beat England 27-21 to win the Wellington round of the Sevens World Series on Saturday for the eighth time.
South Africa, who beat Scotland 40-7 in the play-off for third, remain the series leaders after four of nine rounds, with New Zealand closing to within seven points in second place.
