Germany\'s Felix Neureuther won the final World Cup slalom of the season here on Sunday as he pipped Crystal Globe winner Marcel Hirscher into second. Austrian world champion Hirscher was already guaranteed of winning both the slalom and overall World Cup titles. Croatia\'s Ivica Kostelic finished third. A month after winning silver at the World Championships, Neureuther won the fifth World Cup race of his career and his second this season. And he has set his sights on dethroning Hirscher next year. \"Marcel is the man to beat and it\'s great to see that in the last race he can be beaten,\" said Neureuther. \"Marcel totally deserved the Globe.\" For Hirscher it was his 18th podium of the season, including six victories and left him with a 309-point winning margin over Norway\'s Aksel Lund Svindal in the overall event. He also finished in the top three in every slalom race. \"I would have never thought that it was possible to finish on every slalom podium in one season,\" he said. \"I hope to go even faster next year.\" From: AFP
