New York Mets outfielder Lucas Duda has undergone surgery after breaking his wrist while moving furniture, the team said Tuesday. The Mets said the procedure on Duda was performed Monday by hand specialist Dr. Andrew Weiland at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. Duda, 26, broke the wrist at his Southern California home last month and is expected to recover in time for spring training. Duda, who had been counted on to replace Carlos Beltran as New York\'s everyday right fielder, slumped last season, batting .239 with 15 home runs and 57 RBI in 121 games while spending part of the year at Class AAA Buffalo.
