Roman Koudelka of Czech Republic

Roman Koudelka of the Czech Republic won the opening round of the ski jumping World Cup on Sunday to register his first career victory.
Koudelka had also been the top performer in Friday's qualifying and he carried that form into the competition on the big hill at Klingenthal with a winning total of 276.4 points.
Austria's Stefan Kraft (274.1) was second with 19-year-old Andreas Wellinger of Germany in third (270.7).
"I'm very happy about this win. The whole weekend went very well for me. I feel mentally strong and worked hard in summer," said Koudelka.
Defending World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medallist Kamil Stoch of Poland pulled out of the event at the last minute because of an ankle injury.
But he is due to compete next weekend at Kuusamo in Finland.
