Goals by Eddie Johnson and Fredy Montero Wednesday lifted Seattle to a 2-0 decision over Los Angeles. The defending champion Galaxy lost for the fourth time this season and are in the bottom third of the Western Conference. Johnson scored in the 40th minute and Montero produced a goal early in the second half from 35 yards out. Montero had been denied twice in the first half by spectacular saves from backup goaltender Bill Gaudette. Gaudette got the start when Josh Saunders missed the game for what the club said were personal reasons. Seattle (5-1-1) won its third in a row and moved into third place in the West.
