Unseeded Belgian Kirsten Flipkens completed a surprising run through the Bell Challenge Sunday, besting Czech Lucie Hradecka to claim her first WTA title. Flipkens -- who ousted both the top seed and the No. 3 seed to reach the final -- topped Hradecka in straight sets, 6-1, 7-5, to claim her initial victory. The 26-year-old earned a first prize of $37,000 with the win. Hradecka, meanwhile, remained winless in five career WTA finals. It was her first appearance in a championship match since last year in Barcelona.
