Sweden international striker Johan Elmander has joined Norwich City on a season-long loan from Turkish side Galatasaray, the English Premier League club announced on Wednesday. The 32-year-old previously spent three years at English side Bolton Wanderers, before moving to Istanbul to join Galatasaray in 2011. During his time at Bolton, he made 92 league appearances and scored 18 goals, having signed from French club Toulouse in 2008. \"I\'m very happy. I\'m really looking forward to starting training with the lads and to playing some games also,\" Elmander told the Norwich website, www.canaries.co.uk. \"I know Norwich City has great fans and there\'s a great atmosphere in the stadium, plus I know a couple of players here already too,\" he said. \"I\'m very glad that the deal has been done and now I\'m looking forward to the season ahead.\" He is the eighth player to arrive at Carrow Road during the current transfer window and the third striker, after Ricky van Wolfswinkel signed from Sporting Lisbon and Gary Hooper arrived from Celtic. \"I\'m really delighted to bring in a player of Johan\'s experience, not only at club and Premier League level, but as a current international. It\'s great to welcome him to our squad,\" Norwich manager Chris Hughton said. Source: fifa.com
