Hector Cuper-managed Egypt won their first third-round 2018 World Cup qualifier despite going down early to Republic of Congo in Brazzaville.

Egypt's team achieved their first win in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers by defeating Congo 2-1 in Brazzaville on Saturday.

Congo advanced in minute 24 by Dore. Mohamed Salah scored the equalizer for Egypt in the 42nd minute.

Abdullah El-Said secured the win for the Pharaohs in the second half's minute 58.
