Double Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown from Jamaica clinched her first world title in the women\'s 200 meters race on Friday with a time of 22.22 seconds after finishing twice with silver medal in Osaka and Berlin Worlds. The 29-year-old sprinter held the challenge from the newly crowned 100m winner Carmelita Jeter in the straight and even extended her lead in the last 20 meters to finish home first with a personal season best time. The victory also made her the first reigning Olympic champion to win the World Championships in the event. U.S. runner Jeter took the silver medal in 22.37 while her fellow American Allyson Felix, seeking her fourth title in a row since the 2005 worlds, finished with a bronze in 22.42.
