Chase Headley doubled in three runs Tuesday to lead the San Diego Padres to a 9-5 win over Arizona. Headley\'s one-out liner to center field was the big blow in a 5-run fourth inning for the Padres, who have won a season-high four consecutive games. Yonder Alonso had a two-run homer for the Padres and Jesus Guzman hit a pinch-hit solo shot in the eight. Ross Ohlendorf (2-0) pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief of Andrew Casher and earned the victory despite allowing three runs on four hits. Rookie Trevor Bauer (0-1), the third overall selection in the 2011 draft, took the loss in his first start for the Diamondbacks. Bauer was roughed up for seven runs -- six earned -- on six hits and four walks in 3 1/3 innings. Arizona made a bid to get back into the game in the fifth inning when Jason Kubel hit a grand slam home run off Dale Thayer to cut the Padres lead to 7-4.
