Brandon Inge completed a three-run, ninth-inning rally with a two-RBI double Wednesday that brought the Oakland Athletics a 10-8 win over Colorado. Todd Helton hit a grand slam for Colorado and Michael Cuddyer had three RBI with a pair of homers, but the Rockies were unable to protect their lead and suffered their seventh straight loss. Colorado was in front 8-7 heading into the ninth and Rafael Betancourt (1-2) came on in a bid for his 12th save of the season. Instead, he suffered his second blown save opportunity. Coco Crisp led off the ninth with a single, went to second on a sacrifice, stole third and scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly from Collin Cowgill. Seth Smith then came through with a two-out double and pinch-hitter Josh Reddick was walked intentionally before Inge doubled home both runners. The comeback made a winner out of Jerry Blevins (1-0), who worked the eighth inning and claimed his first victory since 2010. He has a 4-5 career record in 174 appearances over six seasons. Ryan Cook allowed a hit in the bottom of the ninth on his way to his second save.
