R.A. Dickey twirled seven strong innings en route to his 16th victory Saturday and the New York Mets snapped a six-skid with a 3-1 victory over Houston. Dickey (16-4) surrendered five hits, issued only one walk and struck two -- becoming the Mets\' first 16-game winner since Johan Santana in 2008 -- and singled home a run in the victory. Jon Rauch and Josh Edgin combined for a 1-2-3 eighth inning and Frank Francisco notched his 21st save as the Mets logged their first win since a 2-0 decision over Washington Sunday. Justin Turner socked a solo homer and Jason Bay also knocked in a run for New York. Fernando Abad (0-1) started for Houston and allowed one run over four innings, absorbing the loss. The hapless Astros lost for the 44th time in 52 contests.
