Erick Aybar\'s three-run triple highlighted a tiebreaking, five-run eighth inning Friday and brought the Los Angeles Angels a 5-0 win over Kansas City. The Angels\' Jered Weaver and Kansas City\'s Bruce Chen dueled through six innings before Chen was lifted and Los Angeles finally got to reliever Aaron Crow in the season opener for both teams. Los Angeles first baseman Albert Pujols, the top free-agent signing in all of baseball this year, went 0-for-3 with a walk in his Angels debut. The Angels sent 10 batters to the plate in the eighth, loading the bases with one out before Peter Bourjos beat out an infield single to drive in the first run of the game. Aybar then hit a 1-0 pitch to right to deliver all three base runners and Torii Hunter had an RBI single later in the inning. Weaver threw 97 pitches over eight innings, allowing four hits, striking out 10 and walking no one. Scott Downs came on to mop up in the ninth in a non-save situation.
