Cleveland scored three runs in the fifth inning Thursday and went on to top the visiting Boston Red Sox 5-3. Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana drove in runs in the decisive fifth, which Michael Brantley capped with a sacrifice fly that broke a 3-3 tie. Jason Donald led off the Cleveland first with his first home run of the season. Ubaldo Jimenez (9-11) struck out 10 and picked up his first win in five starts. Jimenez allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk over six-plus innings. Felix Doubront (10-6) suffered the loss on four runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. Adrian Gonzalez chalked up a two-run homer for the Red Sox. Dustin Pedroia drove in the other Boston run with a fifth-inning single.
