A.J. Pierzynski\'s pinch-hit, two-run homer in the seventh inning gave Chicago the lead and the White Sox went on to a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Trailing 2-1 in the seventh, Dayan Viciedo led off the frame with a single off Jason Isringhausen (3-2), and was replaced by pinch-runner John Danks. Pierzynski came up to hit for Tyler Flowers and belted a 2-0 pitch deep into right-center field. The ball just cleared the fence for a two-run, go-ahead shot. The blast marked the fifth straight game in which Pierzynski has homered, tying a White Sox club record. Kevin Youkilis also homered for American League Central-leading Chicago, which stayed 1 1/2 games ahead of second-place Detroit in the division standings. Nate Jones (5-0) earned the win in relief of starter Francisco Liriano, while Addison Reed notched his 19th save. Mike Trout and Torii Hunter drove in one run each for the Angels, who dropped two of three to Chicago and fell one-half game behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL wild card chase.
