Twenty professional golf players have already confirmed participation in the inaugural BankDhofar Pro-Am Golf Tournament set to take place at Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club on the November 8. They are coming from the most prestigious golf clubs in the region -” Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club (Abu Dhabi), Jebel Ali Golf Resort & SPA (Dubai), Abu Dhabi Golf Club, Yas Links (Abu Dhabi), The Royal Golf Club (Bahrain), Sahara Kuwait Resort (Kuwait), Safaa Golf Club (Saudi Arabia), etc., and will be competing for a prize fund of over RO1000 which will be allocated amongst the first five top scorers. The BankDhofar Pro-Am is the first professional golf event staged in the Sultanate. The field is limited to 25 teams of four players. Each team will be led by a regionally-based PGA professional who will be joined by three amateurs, entering in teams under company names.
