Zimbabwe, replying to Bangladesh's first innings total of 433, were 53-1 at stumps on the second day of the second Test in Khulna on Tuesday.
Hamilton Masakadza was unbeaten on 15 and Brian Chari was on 21, with Zimbabwe trailing by 380 runs.
For Bangladesh, opener Tamim Iqbal scored 109 and Shakib Al Hasan made 137.
Bangladesh won the first Test in Dhaka to take the lead in the three-match series.
