Zamalek team beat on Thursday the resilient Smouha in 4-3 win in penalty kicks to face Ahly in the Egypt Cup final.

The two teams went to penalty kicks at Alexandria Field after 90 minutes of zero goals.

Smouha's trio Ahmed Nabil Manga, Ayman Ashraf and Mahmoud Ezzat missed their kicks while Zamalek's Mohamed Ibrahim missed one.

The rivals Ahly and Zamalek are expected to play on Monday.

On Wednesday, Ahly qualified for the Cup final after defeating a resilient Petrojet side 3/1.
