Under the theme “ Sport and Integrity” the football competitions for preparatory schools at the seventh Schools Olympic Program (SOP) entered crucial rounds at the QFA technical committee playgrounds on Sunday. In Sunday’s fixtures around 12 preparatory schools competed for the quarterfinals stage, where Khalid bin Ahmed school, Doha School and Abobakar Al Sideeq school confidently cruised their way to the last eight stage , following their deserving victories . Doha preparatory defeated Al Kon Academy 7-6, Khalid bin Ahmed thrashed Omar bin Khattab 4-2 in the second playoff, likewise Abobakar Al Sideeq outclassed Pakistan education Centre 3-0 in the third match. According to the SOP schedule, the football qualifying competitions ( quarterfinals) for secondary schools for boys will get underway at Al Sadd SC playgrounds on Sunday. In another SOP scene, elementary school students showed- widely praised performance in the volleyball game of the prestigious Schools Olympic Program (SOP) 2013-2014 under the theme “ Sport and Integrity” at Qatar Volleyball Association indoor on Sunday. In Sunday’s volleyball events, two groups (A) and (B) took part in the competitions, in group (A), Al Kon Academy booked place in the next round after defeating Al Duhail 31/17, likewise in group B Palestinian school reached the next round, following a deserving 31/10 victory over Al Gimailia. As per the SOP program, the volleyball competitions for preparatory schools (boys) will resume at both the QVA indoor and Al Arabi SC indoor on Tuesday. Likewise, the handball competition for secondary schools (boys) at the prestigious Schools Olympic Program (SOP) were successfully held at Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyiah indoor at Al Sadd SC on Sunday. In Sunday’s competitions, Al Sailiyah school outclassed Ali bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani 6-2, Al Andalus private defeated Omar bin Khattab 5-1, Al Shahania beat Pak Shama school 8-1, Hamad bin Abdulla bin Jassim defeated Al Zubara 10-0 .
