Spanish footballer Raul Gonzales has praised as "extraordinary, both personally and professionally" the time he spent in Qatar where he spent two years with Al Sadd.
The Real Madrid legend witnessed a major phase of evolution for Qatari football as the Maroon youngsters were crowned U-19 Asian champions and the U-20 side qualified for the World Cup.
"The way I was treated in Qatar was fantastic and I have completed a wonderful spell of my career, as well as with the youngsters from the Aspire Academy," said the 37-year-old prolific striker.
Raul who won six league titles and three Champions Leagues with Los Blancos over a 16-year spell with the Spanish capital club is showing is already planning for the new phase of his career following his move to New York Cosmos.
"Soon I will start a new adventure in New York on a project for the future which promises to be thrilling," he added.
