The Kuwaiti billiard team won the silver medal in the eight-ball team competition of the Eighth GCC tournament held here. Head of the Kuwaiti delegation Ahmed Al-Qabandi told KUNA that the team came in second against the host team of UAE. On today\'s schedule, Al-Qabani said that the Kuwaiti team will be partaking in the nine-ball competition. He wished the team all the best in the upcoming round. The Kuwaiti team had won gold, silver, and bronze medals in the individuals\' competition. The championship began last Saturday under supervision and organization of the UAE Billiards and Snooker Association, with participation of five countries including the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The Kuwaiti billiards team includes head of delegation Ahmed Al-Qabandi, Ali Abd Alilah, manager, Ali Hassan Shaaban, coach, and Raed Al-Zaid, referee. The players are Abdullah Al-Yousuf, Tariq Al-Mulla, Majid Al-Azmi, Bader Al-Awadi and Omar Al-Shaheen.
