Iran won against the UAE Monday by 1-0 in the Group C match of the 16th Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup (AFC) held in Melbourne, Australia.
Both the Iranian and UAE teams progressed to the quarter finals.
Iran will meet with the second qualifier of Group D while the UAE will play against the winner of the Group next Friday.
