Egypt and Ahly striker Emad Meteb will be out of action for four weeks after picking up an injury during the 2-0 win over El-Entag El-Harby on the first matchday of the Egyptian Premier League season on Thursday, the club has announced. "He will undergo further medical tests to determine the seriousness of his injury," Ahly's doctor Khaled Mahmoud was quoted as saying on the club's official website after the game. "Primary medical tests have showed he will be out of action for four weeks," Mahmoud added. Meteb was taken off just before the break due to the injury, making way for striker Amr Gamal who scored the team's second goal after Abdallah El-Said broke the deadlock in the 69th minute with a penalty kick. The 30-year-old attacker had recently returned to the team squad after recovering from a back surgery that had sidelined him for three months. Source: Ahram Online
