The UAE - Saudi football encounter on Monday ended in a goalless draw in the first round of the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup, currently running in Kuwait.

The lackluster tie put the Saudis on the top of Group A on goal differences. No team has so far been cruised into the final round of the competition.
