Etoile Sportive du Sahel won Tunisia's football League 1 Championship after beating EGS Gafsa 2-1 in Gameweek 29 match played Thursday in Sousse.

    One day before the end of the season, ES Sahel rise their toll to 74 on top and cannot be overtaken by Esperance (71 points) who defeated Stade Gabesien 2-0 in Rades and CS Sfaxien (69 points) who lost to ES Zarzis 1-0 in Zarzis.

    Etoile had defeated Esperance 3-0 at the first leg and secured a 2-2 draw in the second leg.
