Dubai International Marine Club is in full swing to host a number of water sports activities scheduled to be held at Mina-Seyahi waters during the year 2015.
Dr. Khalid Mohammed Abdulla Alzahed, vice president of DIMC, announced this while presiding over the board meeting on behalf of Saeed Hareb, CEO of DIMC.
Board members Arif Saif Al Zaffin, Essa Khalfan bin Kharbash, Khalid bin Dasmal, Ali bin Hindi and Mohammed Abdullah Harib were present in the meeting, which was the first monthly meeting of the year.
The participant started the meeting by congratulating H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President DIMC, on the occasion of his passing the pilot course, as well as H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, on winning the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award, and wished both of them all success in future.
The board also praised the efforts of World Professional Powerboating Association (WPPA) and Abdu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club (ADIMSC) for the recently signed three year agreement to work together for XCAT World Powerboating Championship Series from this year onwards.
"We welcome the office of organising committee and participating teams of Dubai Tour 2015 which will be held during the period 4 -7 February 2015. The club all set to provide facilities for any types of international events in the waters of Dubai," Dr. Khalid said.
"During this year DIMC will also host the Food Carnival during February 12 to 14, second edition of Dubai International Boat Show during March 3 to 7 in partnership with Dubai World Trade Centre, in addition to a number of regular national water sports activities and competitions which have been held in the weekends entertaining the residents and visitors. Concluding the meeting, the board extended thanks and appreciation to all government institutions and agencies, which always contribute to the success of all marine events and races organised by the club throughout the season.
