Bahrain ready to host major international sporting events.

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) and Head of the High Organising Committee of Brave International Combat Week 2017 and the 4th edition of the World Amateur MMA Championship Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid a visit today to Khalifa Sports City Hall which will host the week-long events from November 12 to 19.

The sporting championships will be held under the patronage of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, SCYS Chairman and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The world championship will be organised under the supervision of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) in partnership with BMMAF and in cooperation with the media office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and KHK MMA organization.
Shaikh Khalid was informed about the ongoing preparations for the major international event. He was accompanied during the visit by IMMAF President Kerrith Brown, BMMAF President Colonel Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat and members of the organising committee. He expressed utmost satisfaction at the ongoing preparations for the international historic event and listened to a detailed account about all organisational aspects. He urged members in the championship’s committees to do their utmost to assert Bahrain’s capability to organise such events in an ideal way. He affirmed the need to work with the one-team spirit to ensure success of the championship and confirm Bahrain’s status as a major host of successful sporting events.
Shaikh Khalid voiced confidence in the capabilities of the Bahraini youth and their constant distinction in ensuring success of any sporting event.
