The Dubai club have claimed the Argentine made no official statement on the possibility of coaching Bahrain\'s national team as reported over the weekend.Al Wasl have denied comments were made by boss Diego Maradona regarding the possibility of coaching the Bahraini national team.Reports claimed that Maradona had been offered the role during the club\'s recent Gulf Clubs Championship clash with Bahraini outfit Al Riffa.Maradona was also quoted by Al Bilad as saying \"put my name in your options if you are looking for a new coach for the national team\" in a conversation with Bahrain Football Association vice-president Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa.However, Al Wasl has denied the reports and reiterated that the Argentine is committed to the club for the length of his two-year contract.\"There was no official statement or comment made by Diego Maradona indicating that he has any interest in coaching the Bahraini national team,\" Al Wasl media manager Ahmad Khalifa said in a club statement.\"As he has stated more than once, Diego Maradona would like to see his contract through with Al Wasl and even more recently he has expressed his interest in staying with Al Wasl for life.\"Only days ago, Maradona criticised Ricardo Caruso Lombardi on a similar topic after he switched from Argentine club Quilmes to Cuervo.\"I have a job and I could not abandon my players. I am not going to do what Caruso Lombardi did because it would show a lack of respect to everyone at Al Wasl,\" Maradona told Argentina\'s La Red Radio.
