MC Algiers won the Algerian football Super Cup following its 1-0 victory against USM Algiers in a game played on Saturday at the Mustapha Tchaker stadium in Blida.
The only goal of the game was scored at the 81st minute by Sid Ahmed Aouedj.
MC Algiers wins against its opponent of the day, USM Algiers, winner of the previous edition against ES Setif (2-0), also played at the Mustapha Tchaker stadium.
MC Algiers was the first to take an initiative in this derby by obtaining three clear opportunities in the first fifteen minutes. The two first were marked by Aouedj (6’ and 11’) whereas the third was by Gourmi.
It was not until the 23rd minute that USM Algiers took a chance following a tense center from Ferhat, instantly put away by Andria.
The red and Black had, however, the advantage in the last fifteen minutes of the first half with some opportunities.
Despite the red and black being most prominent in this game, the red and green were able to score a goal from Aouedj at the 81st minute.
