The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) awarded Algeria the rights to host the 2015 IBSA Goalball African Championships (men and ladies), unveiled Friday the international federation.
The two tournaments, qualifiers to the Rio Paralympics 2016 will be held between 20 and 30 November 2015, added the communiqué of IBSA.
The men's and women's national teams of the continent will be invited to participate in these competitions which will allow to champions, in both genders, to represent Africa at the Rio Games in September 2016.
The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) congratulated Algeria, wishing success in organizing these two events.
For the organization of two events, Algeria was competing with Morocco.
In 2011, the IBSA had organized a Sydney-Africa Oceania Goalball tournament, qualifying for the Paralympic Games in London 2012. Algeria has snatched the only qualifier ticket by winning all matches including the final against Australia.
