Al-Ahly Handball Team has returned home following their unprecedented success in the 31st edition of the Arab Handball Championship.
Upon arrival at the Bahrain International Airport, members of the team were welcomed by the Director of Youth Organisations and Centres at the General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) Nawar Al-Mutawa, Head of GOYS' President's Office Yaqoob Al-Qassimi and Ahly Club's Board members.
Al-Mutaw conveyed to the team members greetings and congratulations from GOYS President Hesham Mohammed Al Jowdar on clinching the Arab Handball Championship.
He hailed the achievement, the first of its kind for local clubs, stressing the string of landmark performance in different competitions which contributed to promoting Bahrain's standing on the sport map.
He praised their outstanding performance throughout the championship.
Head of Al-Ahly Club's delegation Majdi Mirza praised GOYS' constant support for the team.
Team captain Hussain Fakhr voiced pride in Al-Ahly Club's exploit, noting that it is the fruitful outcome of the players' efforts during the tournament and desire to clinch the prestigious title.
