Champion racing driver Ahmad Al Harthy proudly received the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Pro-Am1 winner\'s trophy on Saturday after returning to the UK for the annual championship awards evening at Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone. Muscat-based Ahmad, who memorably sealed the 2012 crown with one race meeting to spare last month after a truly sensational campaign, produced a near faultless season in Porsche Carrera Cup GB with an incredible tally of wins and podiums. Taking 12 Pro-Am 1 victories and 17 podiums in total from the championship\'s 20 races Ahmad was a star performer season-long. \"It\'s nice to finally get my hands on the big trophy, and what a fantastic trophy it is!-, said the 31-year-old, \"We worked so, so hard this year to win the championship and I honestly couldn\'t have asked for more from the guys at Redline Racing who run the Oman Air Racing Team.
