Algeria's national shooting team won three new medals, including two silver, at the 11th Africa Shooting Sports Championship in Cairo, Egypt, said Sunday the head of the Algerian Federation of Shooting Sports (FATS), Rabah Bouzid. The first silver medal was snatched by the 14-year-old Chafik Boudaoud, the youngest athlete in the tournament, in 10m rifle shooting, the second silver by Rabah Bouzid (FATS head), Ferrat Lounis and Ould Mokhtar Mokhtar in men's team Double Trap event, while the bronze was won by Ould Mokhtar Mokhtar in men's individual Double Trap event. During the first days of the championship, Algeria's Houda Chaabi claimed the African title in women's 10m air rifle shooting, in addition to two silver medals in 10m pistol shooting and team Trap events while Ali Benali Mokhtar won the silver in men's individual Trap event. Eleven countries are participating in this edition, namely Algeria, Egypt (host country), Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Libya, Namibia, Kenya, Cameroon, Sudan and Nigeria. Source: APS
