The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has made yet another initiative for soccer fans in Bahrain by providing free transports for supporters wishing to travel to Kuwait for their match against Qatar on Friday at the ongoing 23rd Gulf Cup football championship.

Ten buses in total will be available to transfer the supporters on Friday when the Bahrainis face the tournament’s reigning champions in their deciding Group ‘B’ tie.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar said this initiative was made in collaboration with the Bahrain Football Association.
“The Bahrain Olympic Committee is fully committed to provide all means of support for Bahrain football team in this prestigious tournament, and this gesture is one way to help the team progress in the competition,” said Askar.
The buses will depart Bahrain this morning at 4am, and those interested in travel on board are requested to fill in the forms available at the Bahrain Football Association premises in Riffa.
Seeking their first-ever title, Bahrain started their title quest with a 1-1 draw against former champions Iraq on Saturday, which was followed by a 1-0 win over Yemen.
The results put Bahrain into joint lead position with Iraq with 4 points each, just one ahead of third-placers Qatar. A win or a draw for Bahrain tonight would ensure the nationals a place in the competition’s semi-finals.
