After a tense and scoreless first half, Sao Paulo returned to the second half determined and controlled its own destiny by scoring three goals in less than ten minutes. Cicero scored his team\'s first goal in the 55th minute, followed Lucas in the 61st minute and finalized by Dagobero in the 64th minute. Before placing its attention on the next phase of the continental tournament, Sao Paulo will battle its cross-town rival Santos in the 19th round of the Brazilian Championship on August 28. Ceara, now eliminated, will place its full focus on the remainder of the national tournament. In the 19th round the team will receive Bahia in the last round of the first half of play.
