Greece qualified for the Euro 2012 finals here on Tuesday after beating Georgia 2-1 to top Group F but it took two late goals to seal their place. The Greeks - surprise winners of Euro 2004 - had put themselves in pole position with a fine 2-0 home win over main rivals Croatia last Friday. Greece had to really battle for their win on Tuesday as the hosts took the lead through David Targamadze in the 19th minute and held on for most of the match. However, the visitors finally forced an equaliser 11 minutes from time by second-half substitute Georgios Fotakis and scored the winner five minutes from time thanks to Angelos Charisteas - scorer of the goal that secured the Euro 2004 title over Portugal. Croatia will go into the play-offs after they beat Latvia 2-0 also on Tuesday.
