Ahly equalised on the 88th minute with a long distance shot by Hamdi, sending relief on the Ahly side. With the second leg of the match due on November 17 in Rades, near Tunis, Esperance needs a draw to win its second African Champions League trophy, while Ahly will need a clear win to claim the title.
