Anderlecht remained top of the Jupiler League this evening thanks to an emphatic 5-0 home victory over Standard Liege. Milan Jovanovic netted the only goal of the first half before second-half strikes from Guillaume Gillet, Dieudonne Mbokani, Matias Suarez and a Marcin Wasilewski penalty sealed the rout. The triumph kept Anderlecht a point clear of second-placed Club Brugge, who saw off Gent 2-0 courtesy of a goal in each half from Thomas Meunier and Bjorn Vleminckx.
