France Radio International highlighted on Wednesday the Egyptians' joy over the sweeping victory of President-elect Abdel Fattal al-Sisi in the presidential polls.
Sisi garnered 97 percent of votes to become Egypt's first president after the June 30 revolution.
The radio also shed light on Sisi's brief speech after the announcement of the results in which he thanked the Egyptians who trusted him to lead the country. He also thanked his rival candidate Hamdeen Sabahi, the army and the police.
