Trade routes suffer due to surface water Ismailia - Yosry Mohamed Northern Sinai’s coastal cities have been hit by more bad weather since Thursday, as heavy rainfall and storms limited trade movements across the region. The Rafah border area was lashed by heavy rains, suspending work inside border tunnels between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. Despite rising water levels, after local authorities did not intervene in clearing surface water due to Friday’s weekly holiday, no road accidents have been reported. Electricity supplies were also cut in different areas of Rafah.
