Tunis - Arab Today
Tunisian Culture Minister Murad Al-Saqli has expressed his country's desire to strengthen cultural cooperation with all Arab countries, especially Kuwait.
He also hailed Kuwait's role in enriching Arab intellectual and cultural domain through its several distinguished institutions.
Al-Saqli called for intensifying the ties of partnership and cooperation among the Arab cultural institutions by setting up a pan-Arab integrated network of information in collaborating with League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). "Cooperation deals signed by the Arab governments are still "ink on paper" and not sufficient to develop cultural, intellectual and artistic cooperation among these governments," he told KUNA on the sidelines of a cultural seminar late on Thursday on Tunisian strategic cultural achievements.
Al-Saqli underlined the necessity of carrying out certain cultural projects in the future to be in line with the joint intellectual and cultural bases of the Arab identity.
Promoting cultural cooperation will be on the agenda of the 19th conference of Arab Culture Ministers due in Saudi Arabia on Saturday and until January 13, he noted.
