Two ancient paintings were unearthed on the Red Sea coast, Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty said.

In statements on Sunday, Damaty said the two paintings were discovered by a Polish archaeological team in cooperation with the University of Warsaw.

He added that three ancient tombs dating back to the Roman era were unearthed as well.
