Ibn Tafil Hospital, Marrakech suffers from overcrowding Marrakech - Souad Al Medraa The Moroccan Assembly for Democrats revealed that patients are being violated at Ibn Tafil Hospital in Marrakech, Morocco. The statement was issued on Wednesday following an inspection visit. The emergency department was reportedly found in a shocking state. Patients were neglected and nurses appeared careless and insensitive to their needs and dignity. The findings contradict the 2011 Constitution which states that all Moroccan citizens are entitled to good healthcare and treatment. General Supervisor of the assembly, Adel Ayt Bouazza expressed to Arabstoday its condemnation of how the hospital was operating. The delegation was accompanied by journalist’s who looked into the medical cases of the patients.  He revealed that some nurses, after being alerted to the officials, started doing their job correctly. Bouazza considers their actions as a betrayal to their mission. Patients at the hospital emphasised the necessity of immediate intervention by the ministry of health to fight the corruption and bribing culture. They added that regular surveillance of hospitals will also help.
