Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese condemned on Tuesday the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a hotel in Arish, North Sinai, early in the day.
The attack left six people dead, including two judges and three policemen.
In a statement, the Coptic Orthodox Church said the attack aimed at hindering the development march in the country.
It also called on the Egyptian people to unite in the face of terrorism.
The church offered condolences to the martyrs' families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
