Ramallah - Arab Today
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's plan to build 500 housing units in Ramat Shlomo settlement to the north of occupied Al Quds city.
The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) quoted the ministry as saying Thursday that this plan is part of the Israeli government's scheme to expand settlements on the occupied Palestinian lands.
These settlements undermine efforts to apply a two-state solution and maintain stability in the Middle East region, the ministry said, casting doubt on credibility of Israel for applying the principle of two states.
The ministry also lashed out at the UN and international reactions to the expansion of Israeli settlements.
