Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam strongly decried a raid on Al Aqsa Mosque by Jewish settlers under the tight guard of Israeli officers and Special Forces to commemorate "Tisha B'Av", which marks the destruction of the so-called "Holy Temple" in Jewish history.
In a statement, Allam said Al Quds city and Al Aqsa Mosque are a red line that should not be crossed and any attack on them is a threat to security and stability in the region.
He urged the international community and international institutions to intervene immediately to halt frequent attacks on Aqsa Mosque.
