The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Tuesday fiercely condemned the recently thwarted ballistic missile attack on the Saudi capital, Riyadh, carried out by the Houthis, saying the incident shows the group is "not serious" about peace, the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, reported.

"This sinful assault by the Houthis, which targeted the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, proves that this group is not serious in responding to international efforts which aim to put an end to the conflict in Yemen," said the ministers.

The agency quoted the ministers' statement, released during their weekly session which expressed Kuwait's support and backing of the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to maintain its security and stability under the wise leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

They also expressed extreme sorrow over the aircraft crash incident which led to the loss of Saudi Arabia's Deputy Governor of Asir Region, Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and several other officials.
