Iraqi President Fuad Masum sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi after the tragic EgyptAir plane crash.
The Iraqi leader regretted the crash and extended condolences to President Sisi, the government and the Egyptian people.
Also in the cable, he expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
Earlier in the day, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced that they found some parts of the EgyptAir plane that had vanished off radar at dawn Thursday with 66 persons on board.
In a statement, the Armed Forces said that personal belongings of passengers and parts of the plane's wreckage had been found some 290 kilometers north of Alexandria city.
