Paris - Arab Today
French Interior Minister Bernard Kaznov on Friday strongly condemned an attack by vandals who had thrown a pig's head inside the Grand Mosque of Perpignan, south France, and had written racist sentences on its walls.
In a statement earlier in the day, Kaznov said that such acts have nothing to do with France, stressing that the culprits will be held accountable.
The vandalism act occurred late on Thursday as part of islamophobia, currently increasing in France with Muslims regularly targeted in the wake of the Paris attacks.
