The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the decision made by the Israeli government to confiscate hundreds of feddans of the Palestinian territories in the West Bank (WB).
It described this step as illegitimate, adding that it flagrantly breaches the international laws and conventions.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid said that such measures contradict the agreements inked between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
This also violates the efforts exerted by the international community aiming at achieving the two-state solution and allowing the Palestinians to restore their legitimate rights.
The Foreign Ministry urged the Israeli cabinet to stop committing such acts and enhance confidence between the Palestinians and Israelis to pave the way for resuming negotiations and establish an independent state with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as it capital.
